NEW: KOA NUMBER BUYING IN AALSMEER
As of Thursday 30 March ‘buying the Naaldwijk way’ is also available on the flower clocks of Aalsmeer. Just try it!
Especially our foreign KOA customers who are already buying in Naaldwijk know the convenience of number buying. On the Naaldwijk auction you do not have to speak Dutch, like in Aalsmeer, you just press a number button on your keyboard to stop the clocks and confirm your purchase.
SPACEBAR VS. NUMBER BUTTONS
Until now, Aalsmeer has always had a different system of buying, letting you buy by pressing the spacebar. The first to stop the clock announces the desired quantity in Dutch. This has always meant that foreign customers had to be taught at least a few words of the Dutch language, like ‘één’ (one), ‘twee’ (two), ‘drie’ (three), ‘kar’ (trolley) and ‘allemaal’ (all). Difficult, as you can understand…
NUMBER LABELS FOR YOUR KEYBOARD
For KOA number buying we provide special sticker labels for your keyboard. Please ask your vendor at OZ Export for these stickers.
You need to paste the stickers on the keys of your keyboard exactly as shown below. The keys must correspond with the number you press for buying. It is clear that the number ‘1’ means buying 1 unit (bucket/box), ‘2’ means 2 units and so on. Please note that not every quantity is possible to buy, like 7 or 11, because these quantities are not handy logistically for the flower auction. Also note that the label ‘1s’ stands for buying 1 full trolley, ‘2s’ means 2 full trolleys and so on. Pressing the ‘R’ button lets you buy the rest of the lot.
If you have any questions about number buying please turn to your vendor, who is in direct contact with OZ Export’s own KOA Helpdesk.
RE-DISCOVER KOA AALSMEER
Now, all our KOA-customers are invited to re-discover the Aalsmeer flower auction with this new number buying feature. We can inform Dutch language fans that for the time being also the good old space bar buying will be working, so it’s actually ‘multi-modus’ now. It’s your free choice to decide which way suits you best. Good luck!
