The Cymbidium might not be your typical Orchid (Orchidaceae), yet this flower is becoming more and more popular. The Cymbidium has an amazing scent and looks exotic and has a very long vase life, up to three weeks! That’s why we choose to decorate our Flower Pitch with different varieties of the Cymbidium. The two most popular species are the mini-cymbidiums and the large-flowered Cymbidiums.

EIGHT CYMBIDIUM FLOWER FACTS

  3. You can enjoy new flowers of Cymbidium pot-plants after flourishing? By placing the flower in your garden where it can catch a little bit of winter frost.
  4. Cymbidium derives from the Greek ‘kymbe’ which means ‘boot’ and refers to the cavity in the tongue of the flower? This is also the place where bees go for pollinating flowers
  5. In Asia it is an honor and a gesture of respect to receive/give a Cymbidium flower? This is because the Orchid is a symbol of morality.
