FLOWER OF THE MONTH: SYMBOLIC ROSES
In November it’s Rosa time! Where the Rosa was discovered is unsure but this immemorial flower has never lost its popularity. Since centuries ago the flower has been one of the most important flowers. Therefore, the Rosa is put in the spotlight this month!
The romantic Rose stands for love and respect due to it is intense colour and heart-shaped petals. However, Roses come in all kinds of colours, of which each colour has it is own special meaning. Below we have listed some of the symbolisms:
- Red: love and respect
- White: true love, virginity, dignity, chastity
- Pink: luck, gratitude, purity
- Yellow: intimate friendship, solidarity
- Orange: longing, appreciation, sympathy
The classic Rose can describe your love to someone perfectly in every occasion. This is because there are plenty of Roses out there and each year several new colours, shapes and sizes are added to the Rose imperium, such as ‘grass-hearted’ Roses or multi-coloured Roses. Yet the number of Roses you give is also important and have their different distinctive meaning. For example, two Roses are the perfect amount when proposing to someone because it stands for mutual love.
