ALLIUM RED MOHICAN
SUMMERFLOWER OF THE YEAR 2013
He’s here again. The summerflower of the year 2013 is Allium Red Mohican.
The flowering begins in July. The burgundy coloured flower owes its name to the sharp crest with long white flowers on top that develop in this period. With a little imagination you would see a Mohican indian in your vase. Others resemble it with a walking stick, due to the big button on top of the very straight stem.
The slender stems initially emerge bent but quickly straighten out. The unusual colour and form of Allium ‘Red Mohican’ makes this an eye catching bulb for punctuating mixed unusual flower arrangements. Create a unique, colourful and sweetly-fragrant statement with this Allium.
