It is getting warmer, spring has arrived and the bridal season is going to start! We would like to inspire you and your customers with the new Bridal Trends for spring/summer 2016!

We present to you the three major trends for the wedding season in 2016. Our flower professionals have gathered all possible information from stylists, bloggers, and fashion designers to fully update you right here, right now.

Boho Beach Weddings are still a trend! Probably not a surprise because green, transparency, nature and soft colours are the biggest trend for 2016!

The colours used for this shoot by ruffledblog.com were mainly stonewashed green and coral combined with soft pink and white. We love the creative use of flowers in this bouquet. The combination of the traditional David Austin Roses and the botanical King Protea are really original. David Austin Roses give an extra dimension to your bridal bouquet with their dreamy fragrance. The Astilbe (Spirea) gives it a playful and airy touch.

Use a combination of plants and flowers in your floral decorations. Here is a tip if you like to stand out: Cacti and air plants give your bouquet and decorations a natural and different character. Ruffledblog.com has given the perfect wedding example for this trend.

The Eucalyptus stems and air plants have that greyish mineral tone. The white Roses and beige ribbon add that romantic touch. Of course add a lot of green for that natural feeling. Creative and minimalist floral decorations combined with ethnic designs and a pop of blue in the decorations tie it all together.

Transparency is hot! And how can you create transparency? By glass vases of course, but also with hanging flower arrangements. Suspend your floral arrangements from the ceiling to free up space and create a stunning effect that promises to wow your guests.

The flower council has some great tips for the tricky part: the practicalities of hanging your display. Working with any natural features in the space will make life easier for you and help integrate the display with the style of the room. Whether it’s the metal framework of a marquee or the wooden support beams of a barn, look for structures you can weave with foliage, branches and blooms. Some rooms may even have a hanging structure of existing chandelier you can work with.

If you’re going for a huge statement piece above a banquet table, opt for bold and voluminous blooms, such as Peonies (the epitome of romance) or Hydrangea (vintage cool). For a more delicate display, such as one that incorporates small jars, smaller flowers like the Ranunculus or Anemones will look super-pretty.
