SIAMESE TULIP?

In Asia the Curcuma has enjoyed a strong reputation for centuries. It originates from India, Malaysia and Thailand. In these countries you can nickname this flower the Siamese Tulip.

The Curcuma has been used for more than 5000 years. At first it was only used for colouring cloths. Later on, they discovered that some Curcuma varieties have a phenomenal taste and healing effect for the body. The earthy flavour of the roots of this flower is a source of inspiration for many chefs. But, unfortunately the cut flowers are only pretty to look at and not edible.
