FLOWERS OF THE MONTH: SPRING FLOWERS
Spring is about to arrive, the perfect opportunity to celebrate with not one, but three Spring-time flowers in the Flower Agenda: Ranunculus, Anemone and Leucospermum. Introduce your customers to Spring Flowers!
The Spring flowers Ranunculus, Anemone and Leucospermum are bursting with symbolism:
Plenty of options for giving someone a great gift!
Ranunculus originally comes from Central Asia. By a roundabout route, the flower finally ended up in Europe. Here it was given its official name: Ranunculus.
The Ranunculus comes in white, yellow, orange, pink, red and purple.
The South African Leucospermum originally grew on rocky slopes on the coasts in the south-west of the Cape of Good Hope.
Leucospermum is originally orange, but nowadays also comes in ochre, lemon and a reddish colour.
The Anemone originally comes from South-Europe and Asia. You can buy Anemones in white, pink, red, violet and blue.
There are around 120 varieties. Some have a single row of petals, others have more.
MARCH COLOUR PALETTE
The colour palette for March is colourful. Energetic yellow in combination with soft pink and sky blue. Add some earthy tones to the whole and you’ll have the perfect mix for the first days of Spring.
EXOTIC SPRING FLOWER BOUQUET
Picture the season of Spring. Which colours do you use? To really capture the joyful feeling of Spring in a vase, it’s a good idea to use colours like yellow, blue and green. Add the colour of the year; purple to the mix and you’ll get a trendy exotic spring bouquet.
A tall, cylindrical vase is contemporary. The vase helps to elevate the flowers and offers enough room for the large number of stems.
