One petal that’s beautifully shaped into a spathe, is what makes the Zantedeschia, also known as Calla, so unique. With just a few of these long, tall flowers you can create a spectacular bouquet.

The Calla is known for her extraordinary shape in combination with her exceptional colours. The shape of this flower kind of looks like a wrap that is slowly opening up so you can look deep into her heart. The Calla comes in white, red, yellow, pink, purple, orange, green, black and bi-coloured. Depending on the season, the colours can vary. For example, many Callas are grown outdoors and come in many pink shades. Below you can see the current assortment:

Due to our great partnership we always have a great assortment of Callas in our stock throughout the year. To empower each other, Kallaland and De Haas Calla’s partnered up in 2018. Due to the partnership they are able to provide Callas during the whole year. That’s because the flowers are grown at different locations (Spain and The Netherlands). Both growers pay a lot of attention to the quality of the flower.

Also, as a result of the different growing locations, the growers can use per season, per location which varieties and colours they want to grow. This way they able to grown flowers exactly according to the wishes of our customers. No wonder why their flowers were rewarded with the Dutch Flower Award in 2017.

The can create a floral spectacle in a bouquet. Many brides agree! That’s why many of them chose the Calla to be on top of their flower list. Not only because it is a wonderful flower, but also because it is a symbolism in the name of love. Since the Roman times it is used for such festive occasions. During the whole year you could use yellow Callas in your wedding bouquet, especially during Summer and Fall this colour will stand out. Using darker coloured flowers with a little bit of green can make your floral arrangements blow your guest’s mind.

Purple is the colour of good judgement, that’s why it is a popular guest at weddings. There are many shades of purple, which makes it the perfect colour for both elegant and formal or laid back and relaxed weddings. Besides this, it’s also a very trendy colour because Ultra Violet is the Pantone colour of the Year.
